Poiat Poeme Shelf
Graceful and poetic, yet robust, is its designers' description what the Poeme Shelf is all about. Designed by the Poiat Studio's co-founders, Timo Mikkonen and Antti Rouhunkoski, the shelf derives its influences from many different aspects and sources. The initial inspiration for the more rugged side of the Poeme took off from the old Finnish wooden tools and the aesthetics of Japanese architecture. But as the design process drew to a close, the final outcome was also delicate and gentle, giving it its name of French origin.
The free-standing and modular structure enables the Poeme to serve as a bookshelf, a media console or a display cabinet. Featuring a modular and minimal design, the Poeme Shelves are well-suited for both public and private spaces. The shelves are manufactured from solid oak in Finland and come in three colour variations — oak, dark oak, and black.
